The Barn at Alswick

The Barn at Alswick is an exclusive-use wedding and event venue on the Alswick Hall Estate, near Buntingford in Hertfordshire. It is a restored barn with rustic wooden beams, and it holds up to 150 guests seated or 220 standing. The whole barn and grounds are yours for the day, and couples also have access to the private gardens of Alswick Hall for photographs.

Matt and Kay Hamilton-Crook launched the Barn in 2017 and hold a limited number of weddings each year. A small team of coordinators, Ellie, Claire and Kay, guides couples through planning. Pricing is kept simple: only venue hire and a drinks package are compulsory, and everything else is the couple's choice.

The Barn is licensed for civil ceremonies through Bishop's Stortford registry office, and couples book their registrar directly. A glamping village on site sleeps up to 22 guests, and catering comes from B&R Dining, with Masala Creations as the other option.
