1. About these terms

Last updated: 4 November 2026.

These terms apply to theweddingexperts.uk and to The Wedding Experts Business mobile app. In these terms, "website" means all of them. The website is operated by The Wedding Experts OU, a company registered in Estonia (registration number 16920228) at Tartu mnt 67/1-13b, Kesklinna linnaosa, Tallinn 10115, Harju maakond, Estonia. "We", "us" and "our" mean The Wedding Experts OU. You can contact us at info@theweddingexperts.uk.

The website is a directory and marketplace where couples find wedding suppliers, send enquiries and requests, and talk to suppliers directly. Suppliers list their business, receive enquiries and can subscribe to paid plans.

Part 2 applies to everyone who uses the website. Part 3 applies to couples. Part 4 applies to suppliers and forms our contract with you as a business. Part 5 is our review policy and Part 6 explains how to report content. Our Privacy & Cookies Policy explains how we handle personal data.

By creating an account or using the website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

2. Using the website

2.1 Who can use it

You must be 18 or over to create an account. The details you give us must be accurate and kept up to date, and you are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account.

Each person or business should have one account. You must not create an account for someone else without their permission.

2.2 What we do, and what we don't

We provide the tools that let couples and suppliers find each other and talk. We are not a wedding planner, agent or supplier, and we are not a party to any agreement between a couple and a supplier. Quotes, bookings, deposits, payments and cancellations are agreed directly between you and the supplier, and we take no commission on them.

We review every supplier listing before it is published (see section 4.1), but we do not verify suppliers' qualifications, licences or insurance, and we do not guarantee the quality of their services. Please make your own checks before booking.

2.3 Acceptable use

We have zero tolerance for offensive content and abusive behaviour. Section 6 explains how to report it.

When using the website you must not:

• post anything unlawful, false, misleading, defamatory, threatening, abusive, hateful or obscene;

• impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your business, your services or your connection with anyone;

• post fake reviews, or requests or enquiries you do not genuinely intend to pursue;

• use contact details obtained through the website for anything other than the enquiry or request they relate to, including adding them to marketing lists;

• send spam, or harass other users;

• copy, scrape or harvest content or data from the website by automated means, or try to get around limits on how many requests can be unlocked or viewed;

• interfere with the security or operation of the website, or upload viruses or other harmful code;

• infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights.

We use automated checks to detect spam and abuse, and we may review messages and content when they are reported to us or when we need to investigate misuse.

2.4 Content you post

You keep ownership of the content you post, such as photos, descriptions, reviews and messages. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce and reformat that content (for example to resize or crop images) in order to run the website, and to show published listing content, photos and reviews when promoting the website and your listing, including on our social media pages. The licence ends when you remove the content or close your account, except that we do not have to withdraw promotional material already published, and backups are deleted on their normal cycle.

You confirm that you own or have permission to use everything you post, including permission from the photographer and from any identifiable people in your photos, and that your content does not break these terms or the law.

We may remove or refuse content that we reasonably believe breaks these terms or the law.

2.5 Our content and brand

The website's design, text, software and "The Wedding Experts" name and logos belong to us or our licensors. You may use the website for its intended purpose, but you may not copy or reuse our content or branding without our written permission.

2.6 Availability and changes

We work to keep the website available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, for example for maintenance or security. Where a change significantly affects a paid plan, section 4 applies.

The website may link to other websites, which are run by others. We are not responsible for their content.

3. For couples

Searching, sending enquiries, making requests and messaging suppliers are free for couples.

Requests. When you describe what you need in a request, it is checked before suppliers see it, by our team or by automated checks that can include AI. Automated checks can only approve a request. Anything in doubt goes to our team, and only our team can reject one. It is then shown to suppliers who offer the services you chose in your area. Suppliers see your occasion, date, area, guest numbers, the services you need and your description, but not your name or contact details. A supplier on a paid plan can unlock your request, which shows them your name, email address and phone number so they can contact you. They may do this straight away, including with an automatic first message they wrote in advance. Up to 5 suppliers per service can unlock each request. You can close a request at any time from your account, after which no further suppliers can unlock it.

Don't include in the description anything you would not want suppliers to see.

Quotes and bookings. A quote is an offer from the supplier, not from us. Before you book, check what is included, the price, the deposit, the cancellation terms and the supplier's insurance. Your contract is with the supplier, and your legal rights as a consumer are against the supplier. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

4. Supplier terms

This part applies to you if you list a business on the website. You agree to it as a business, and it forms our contract with you together with Parts 2, 5, 6 and 8.

4.1 Your listing

You must be a genuine business offering wedding-related services, and have authority to act for the business you list. Your listing must be accurate, including your categories, the areas you cover, your prices and your photos.

New listings start as drafts that nobody else can see. When you submit a listing, our team reviews it before it is published. We check that it is a real wedding business, that its categories and areas are right, and that its content follows these terms. We may approve it, or reject it and tell you why so you can correct it and resubmit. Changes to a published listing are reviewed in the same way.

When you sign up, we may prepare a draft listing for you from your own public website using automated tools, including AI. You check and edit the draft before submitting it, and you are responsible for its content once you do.

Some listings may be created from publicly available business information and marked as unclaimed. An unclaimed listing does not appear in search results until the business claims it and confirms its details.

If you asked us to list your business, or claimed a preview page we made for it, we may have set up and published your listing for you, using the details you gave us and information from your own website and public pages. Please check it when you first sign in. You can correct it at any time, or ask us to remove it.

4.2 Plans

You can list for free on our Lite plan. Paid plans (currently Pro and Platinum) add features such as unlocking couples' requests and higher placement in search. The features and prices of each plan are shown on our pricing page when you subscribe, and that description forms part of your contract.

We may offer new suppliers a free trial of a paid plan. When a trial ends, your listing moves to the Lite plan unless you choose to subscribe. You will not be charged for a trial you did not pay for.

4.3 Payment and renewal

Paid plans are billed in advance in pounds sterling, for the period you choose when you subscribe, through our payment provider Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.

Prices exclude VAT. We are not registered for VAT in the UK. If UK VAT is due on our services, a UK VAT-registered business may need to account for it under the reverse charge.

We may change plan prices. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a price change applies to you, and it will take effect from your next renewal after that. If you do not want to continue at the new price, you can cancel before the renewal.

4.4 Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a paid plan at any time from your account. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and your listing then moves to the Lite plan. We do not refund payments for the remainder of a billing period, except where the law requires it or where we have materially failed to provide the plan you paid for.

4.5 Couples' requests

On a paid plan you can see couples' requests that match your categories and the areas you cover, and unlock them to see the couple's contact details. Each request can be unlocked by up to 5 suppliers per service, in the order they unlock it.

New requests are released in stages, not to everyone at once. Platinum suppliers who are local to the event or cover its area get a short head start. After that, requests are offered in groups, one after another, in an order based on how close you are to the event, whether you cover its area, and your plan. Within a group, suppliers who were offered a request least recently come first, so requests are shared around. If places are still free, the request opens to every matching supplier on a paid plan.

We do not guarantee the number of requests or enquiries you will receive, or that any will lead to a booking.

You may use a couple's details only to respond to the request or enquiry they relate to. You must not add them to marketing lists or share them with anyone else. For the personal data you receive when you unlock a request or receive an enquiry, you are an independent controller under UK data protection law and are responsible for handling it lawfully.

4.6 How search results are ranked

When someone searches for a place, listings are ordered by the following main factors, in this order of importance:

• how close the supplier is and which plan they are on, in this order: Platinum suppliers local to the place; Pro suppliers local to it; Platinum suppliers who cover the area; Pro suppliers who cover the area; Platinum suppliers who cover the whole country; Lite suppliers local to the place; Lite suppliers who cover the area. Pro and Lite suppliers who reach a place only through nationwide cover are not shown for that place;

• how complete the listing is, scored from its profile photo, cover image, gallery, description, areas covered, map location, reviews, website, social media links, offers and collections;

• listings that are equal on all of the above are shown in a random order that changes over time, so no supplier is always first.

When no place is searched, everyone is shown and listings are ordered by plan (Platinum, then Pro, then Lite), then by the same completeness score and random order.

Paying for a higher plan therefore improves your position in search. Apart from your choice of plan, we do not accept payment for ranking. Your plan does not affect your reviews, your star rating or whether your listing is approved. Other pages, such as category pages, articles or recommendations, may order listings differently, for example by relevance to the page's topic.

4.7 Restricting, suspending or ending a listing

We may restrict, suspend or remove your listing or account if: you seriously or repeatedly break these terms; your listing is inaccurate or misleading; you misuse couples' personal data; we receive credible complaints about fraud or serious misconduct; you do not pay; or the law or a regulator requires it.

If we restrict or suspend your listing, we will tell you the reasons by email at the latest when the restriction takes effect. If we decide to end our contract with you, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email with our reasons, unless the law requires otherwise, or you have seriously or repeatedly broken these terms, or there is fraud. You can reply to clarify the facts or ask us to reconsider, and if the issue is resolved we will restore your listing without delay.

If we end your contract because of your breach, you are not entitled to a refund. If we end it for another reason, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid period.

You can close your account at any time.

4.8 Your data

Your dashboard shows statistics about your listing, such as views and enquiries. We do not give other suppliers access to your data. When you close your account we handle your data as described in our Privacy & Cookies Policy.

4.9 Changes to the supplier terms

We will tell you by email about changes to this part, or to other terms that affect suppliers, at least 15 days before they take effect, or longer where the change requires you to make significant changes to your listing or business. You may end our contract before the changes take effect. Shorter notice may apply where the law or a regulator requires a change, or to deal with an unforeseen risk of fraud, malware, spam or security breaches.

4.10 Complaints

If you have a complaint about our service, about a decision to restrict your listing, or about anything else in our relationship, email info@theweddingexperts.uk. We will acknowledge it, consider it and reply with our decision, normally within 14 days.

4.11 Liability to suppliers

We are not liable to you for loss of profits, revenue, business, bookings, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss.

Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in that period and £100.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

5. Review policy

Reviews help couples choose, so they must be genuine.

Who can review. Reviews may be left by couples and clients who used, or seriously dealt with, the supplier. Before a review is published, its author must verify both their email address and their mobile number, and give proof of working with the supplier, such as a receipt, contract or booking confirmation. Only our moderators see the proof. It is never shown on the listing. Until all of this is done, nobody can see the review.

Moderation. We check every review before it is published. We reject reviews that we reasonably believe are fake, written by the supplier or someone connected to them or to a competitor, written in return for an undisclosed incentive, abusive, unlawful, unrelated to the supplier's services, or that include other people's personal data.

Suppliers must not write reviews of their own business, pay or reward anyone for reviews, offer incentives that depend on a review being positive, ask friends or family to review them, or invite only clients they expect to be happy. Suppliers may invite all of their clients to leave an honest review.

We never remove or hide a review because it is negative, and we do not accept payment to remove reviews. A supplier's plan does not affect its reviews or star rating, which is the simple average of its published reviews on our website.

Reviews from Google. Suppliers on a paid plan can also show their reviews from Google on their listing. These are labelled as coming from Google and update regularly. We do not check them, they are not covered by this policy, and they do not count towards the star rating above. To challenge one, report it on Google. If Google removes it, it disappears from the listing too.

Disputes. A supplier who believes a review is fake or breaks this policy can dispute it by email. While we investigate, the review is hidden from the listing and from the star rating. We aim to decide within 30 days, and then either restore or remove the review and tell the supplier and the reviewer.

6. Reporting content and complaints

If you see a listing, review, message or other content that you believe is illegal or breaks these terms, tell us at info@theweddingexperts.uk. Please include where the content is and why you are reporting it. In the app, you can also report or block someone from the menu in any conversation. We review every report within 24 hours, take action where needed, such as removing content or restricting an account, and tell you what we decided. If you disagree with a decision we have made about your own content or account, reply to our email and we will reconsider it.

We remove illegal content swiftly once we are aware of it and may report it to the relevant authorities.

If you believe content on the website is defamatory of you, send us your name and contact details, the content and where it appears, and why you believe it is defamatory and untrue. We will handle your notice in line with the Defamation (Operators of Websites) Regulations 2013, which may include contacting the person who posted it.

For any other complaint about us, email info@theweddingexperts.uk.

7. Our responsibility to couples and other users

We provide the website with reasonable care and skill. If we do not, tell us and we will try to put it right.

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for the services, quotes, conduct or contracts of suppliers or other users, because those are between you and them. The website is free for couples and is provided for private use: we are not liable for business losses.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. General

Changes to these terms. We may update these terms, for example to reflect changes to the website or the law. We will show the date of the latest version at the top. If a change significantly affects you, we will tell you in advance by email or on the website. Section 4.9 sets out the notice we give suppliers.

Closing your account. You can close your account at any time from your account settings on the website or in the app. Couples must close any open requests first. We may close accounts that have been inactive for a long time, after telling you by email.

Other terms. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation that takes over the website, and will tell you if we do. Nobody else has rights under these terms. If a court decides that part of these terms is invalid, the rest continues to apply. If we delay in enforcing these terms, we can still enforce them later.

Law and courts. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts and you keep the protection of your local law.
