The Georgian Mansion

The Georgian Mansion is a private Georgian house set in 52 acres of parkland near Halstead in Essex, just under an hour from central London. Weddings and events use the vaulted flint stone Event Hall and the grounds, with a marquee available if you need more room, and the site says a ceremony by the lake is possible.

The house sleeps up to 18 in six bedrooms, with a two-bedroom cottage for four more and 16 newly converted stable suites that sleep up to 32. Inside there are panelled reception rooms with a grand piano, a billiards room, a heated indoor pool, a sauna and hot tub, a gym and a floodlit tennis court.

The website describes the house as suited to gatherings of 12 to 54 guests, and says larger weddings of up to 500 day guests can be agreed in advance for a fee. A chef or full catering package can be arranged, and there is parking for over 100 cars.
