Monkey Island Estate

Monkey Island Estate is a hotel and wedding venue on a private island in the River Thames at Bray, about ten minutes from Windsor and less than an hour from central London. Two Grade I listed pavilions, commissioned as a fishing retreat in 1723, sit in seven acres of landscaped gardens, and the estate is run by YTL Hotels.

Couples can hold a civil ceremony in the River Room or on the lawn, then celebrate in the Marlborough Ballroom or the River Room. The Pavilion holds up to 130 guests, and a marquee on the Temple Lawn takes up to 300. There are three packages: the Pavilion Collection, the Island Collection with exclusive use of the island for 24 hours, and the Lawn Collection for larger weddings.

The couple stay in the Wedgwood Suite on the wedding night, with a private breakfast the next morning. If the ceremony is elsewhere, such as St Michael's Church in Bray village, the estate can cater for the wedding breakfast and evening reception.
