Altered Images

Altered Images is a wedding and portrait photography studio run by Stephen and Nicky, based in Tankersley, Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Stephen is the lead photographer, and the pair photograph weddings across Yorkshire and further afield, from Barnsley and Sheffield to Leeds and York.

Their approach is relaxed and unobtrusive: documentary coverage of the preparations, ceremony, speeches and dancing, alongside editorial portraits that use the venue and the light rather than a run of set poses. They also photograph the details, such as flowers, stationery and table settings. Their site shows real weddings from venues including Aston Hall, Rudding Park and Tankersley Manor.

Stephen and Nicky married at Rudding Park in Harrogate in May 2024. Prices, packages and a booking enquiry form are on the website.
