Simply Strings

Simply Strings is a string trio based in Sheffield, playing weddings, corporate events and other occasions across Yorkshire and the East Midlands, including Leeds, Sheffield, York, Harrogate, Barnsley, Doncaster, Nottingham and Derbyshire. The site describes it as Yorkshire's favourite string trio, made up of three musicians with more than 30 years of combined professional playing.

For weddings the trio plays the ceremony, from the guests arriving to the bride's entrance, the signing of the register and the exit, then the drinks reception and the wedding breakfast, with lighter and jazz sets for background music. Being a trio, it takes up less space than a quartet in smaller venues. The repertoire runs from classical wedding pieces to pop, including recent Bridgerton-style arrangements.

Liz Stacey, the group's founder and organiser, studied violin in Sheffield and has played with leading chamber groups. The group also performs candlelight concerts.
