Florist · Northumberland
RAE is a flower farm and florist in Northumberland's Tyne Valley, providing wedding and event floristry across the north of England, including Newcastle and Durham, and as far as Inverness. It is owned and run by Katherine Evans-Smith, who has a horticulture background and previously worked in professional forest management.
The flowers are grown on the farm or sourced from British growers, in a naturally styled, garden-like way. The floristry is foam-free with reusable mechanics and paper-based packaging, and the site says no pesticides, insecticides, fungicides or hormones are used. Wedding services include bouquets, buttonholes, corsages, flower crowns, guest table arrangements and bud vases, mantelpiece and hearth installations, flower arches and stairway or floor-standing arrangements, from full set-up to DIY buckets. Workshops are also offered.
Couples start with a virtual consultation, then receive a tailored proposal and quote, with a 30% deposit to secure the date and a design meeting three weeks before the wedding.
Also travels up to 25 miles from their base.
