The Bridal Suite

The Bridal Suite is a plus size bridal boutique in Park Gate, between Southampton and Portsmouth in Hampshire. Beverley opened it in 2003 and since 2016 it has stocked only plus size wedding dresses, with every sample in sizes 18 to 36+. Larger sizes are made to measure.

Beverley trained in fashion design and spent years designing for high street brands in London. She now designs the shop's own Bellucci Bride collection, cut for curvier figures, with supportive bodices, sleeves, higher backs and considered necklines. Each design is sampled in a size 26 and tried on real brides before it goes into production, and she can change a neckline, sleeves or back to suit the bride.

Appointments are private and by appointment only, with one bride at a time and up to two guests. Dresses are priced between £1,300 and £1,700, and brides travel from across the south of England to visit.
