The Bridal Seamstress by Charlotte Scott offers bridal gown alterations and bespoke dress creation from a dedicated studio in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. Charlotte, known as Charlie, began in bridal wear straight from school with an apprenticeship in a bespoke bridal shop and has more than 24 years' experience, plus City & Guilds qualifications in clothing manufacture, tailoring and pattern cutting.

Alterations range from subtle adjustments to complete restyling and refined hemlines. She also fits and alters outfits for the mother of the bride and groom, evening wear and prom gowns. Bespoke gowns are made to measure from the first design consultation, hand-embellished and made exclusively for the client, and she also upcycles and redesigns vintage and preloved dresses.

Fittings are by appointment from Tuesday to Saturday, and clients can also reach her by WhatsApp. The site notes that the business was a regional finalist in The Wedding Industry Awards in 2025 and 2026.
