Mat Baker Music

Mat Baker is a solo guitarist, singer and percussionist based in East Sussex, playing acoustic music for weddings and celebrations as well as corporate and charity events, hotels and restaurants. His music draws on jazz, folk, classical, Celtic, Latin and soul, and he can add vocals to the song list.

For a wedding he creates a relaxed background atmosphere for the ceremony, drinks reception or meal, and offers arrangements made to suit the couple. He brings a compact, discreet sound system that adapts to small or larger gatherings, can run on battery power, and can provide a microphone for speeches and recorded music during breaks.

Mat has performed live for over 35 years and has taught music for more than 30. He also plays bouzouki, ukulele and drums, and has recorded with international artists including Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Couples can book a free consultation to talk through their day.
