Ceremonies with Sho

Ceremonies with Sho is run by Shona, an independent celebrant based in North Somerset, ten minutes from Bristol airport. She writes and leads wedding ceremonies, civil partnerships, vow renewals and elopements, as well as namings and farewells. Her home area is North Somerset, Bristol and Bath and North East Somerset, and she also travels across the South West, nationally and abroad.

Each ceremony is a custom script written around the couple, after consultations in person, by video call and through questionnaires. Her style is described as traditional with a twist, with humour and warmth. She works with same-sex couples, blended families, second or third weddings and mixed cultures and faiths.

Shona explains on the site that in England and Wales a celebrant-led ceremony is not yet the legal marriage on its own, so couples complete the legal part at the register office. Before becoming a celebrant she worked as a private chef cooking for big life events.
