Nicola Isherwood is an independent marriage and family celebrant based in Hertfordshire, working across the Home Counties. She regularly works in Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire, and will also perform ceremonies at a home or travel elsewhere in the UK. She leads wedding and civil partnership ceremonies, renewals of vows and naming ceremonies under the heading 'Unique Ceremonies for Unique People'.

There is no set script or structure. Nicola works with each couple on readings, music, personal vows and symbolic rituals, and her process runs from a couple's questionnaire through ceremony planning, a rehearsal and the day itself. Without council registration requirements, the ceremony can be held where the couple choose.

She has a performing arts and theatre background and years of teaching, which she says helps nervous couples feel confident speaking in front of their guests.
