Cakey Lulu's

Cakey Lulu's makes bespoke luxury wedding cakes from Lytchett Matravers, just outside Poole in Dorset. The business is run by Jen Thomas, who left a career in the police to bake and decorate full time, following her grandmother, a wedding cake designer known for ornate piping and sugar flowers.

Every cake is designed with the couple, drawing on the flowers, colours, invitations or even the dress. The style is elegant and modern, with hand made sugar flowers and hand painted details. Cakes are sponge or fruit, in flavours such as vanilla passion, mint chocolate mud, cherry bakewell and salted caramel, and there are cupcakes, macarons and biscuits for dessert tables.

Jen takes on a maximum of two wedding cakes a week. She offers a free consultation and tasting by video call, delivers and sets up each cake at the venue on the morning, and covers Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, London and beyond.
